Princess Jay & the Peasants produce a Royally good score!

Fifteen teams crammed into the Star of the East Pub this evening for the last Quiz of the decade! If that seems like a lot of time, not to worry, we were just focussing on this past twelve months with the extra special 2019, Big Fat Quiz of the year! It was an absolute 'worldie' as well, your busy host feeling like the proverbial bull in a China shop... and did we mention that it was that very country that, this year, landed the first human made object on the far side of the moon? They say love can build a bridge but, sadly, enemies can block it too- Venezuela and Columbia's bridge border being blocked by Venezuela, refusing international aid. Our teams got the picture...which was picture question 8! Finally, on a happier note, our players had a right laugh knowing it was Ukraine that, this year, voted in a former comedian as their President! Princess Jay & the Peasants proved that hard work is key, admitting that they'd revised hard to score the 35 points and win the £50 bar tab. Corporal Carrot Top won the wine with a tense tiebreaker, scoring an overall 18 points but nobody won the £12 Jackpot...which will be £75.00! You just have to wait over a year...
