'Quiz Inside take other teams out for a thrashing!

Nothing beats being back at the Star of the East for a new decade of Quizzing! We had some very good teams come together for our first Quiz of the year and, with many varied sports questions being asked, everyone had a 'Sporting' chance! If they were feeling a little rusty after the festive break, then the question about which country gained full cricket status in 2017 may have hit them for six! It was, of course, Afghanistan. If you were feeling a bit sick of the mulled wine, port and sherry than maybe a 'T' might be the thing for you- unless it was a referee's hand signal of 'T' in Basketball, which actually means 'Technical Foul'. Finally, tribute must be paid for those going back to work and up-'rooting' themselves to get their brain boxes in gear again- a little less painful than 'Pig Rooting', though, an action taken by horses to dislodge their riders! 'Quiz Inside, I'm on the Pill', who won the first ever Quiz at the Star of the East scored 36 to retain their title and win the first £50 bar tab of the year! 'Two Guys Trying 'There' Best' tried their best and then some by winning the wine on a tiebreaker, scoring 23 points but, sadly, 'The Winers 2.0' missed out on just one card for the Jackpot, meaning that it will be a cool £101.00 to win next week...
