Definitely Not a Date Make it a Memorable Night!

We had dedicated teams proving that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy for the first Quiz of December at the Star of the East, Limehouse! You could say that they all made it a 'royally' good night. Our teams had to recollect the word 'Kookaburra', a pretty tough question that only a few managed to answer, which is of course Australia's most well known KING-fisher. They were all soon back on it with some great answers, to suggest otherwise would be in-SULTAN (my apologies), the Sultan being the head of state in the country of Brunei. Come the end of the quiz, they'd all used their HEADS and gotten my vote of confidence; especially since they were able to answer the free drink question which was 'Who preceded Angela Merkel as Chancellor of Germany?', the answer being Gerhard Shroeder. Newbies 'This is Definitely Not a Date' bagged the £50 bar tab with 31 points and 'We Make Memes' enjoyed a bottle of the house white with 29. Don't feel too sorry for Three Men & No Lady, they managed to answer both free drinks questions. Happy customers hopefully returning for next weeks £84.00 Jackpot...
