We Killed Santa end November with a bloodbath!

Nine teams gathered at the Star of the East on this drizzly Tuesday. The Christmas decorations were going up, giving this fine public house a warm and festive feel but the only thing falling outside was light rain! If our teams were feeling 'awash' with the weather, they weren't going to feel that much different with the questions, many knowing that 'List' was the term for a ship tilting to one side, often taking on water. Our teams were made of stronger stuff than to let it bother them, however, rising to the the challenge and hoping to ride the wave to victory, fully aware that the German for 'Whirlpool' was the same as the popular dessert 'Strudel'. Finally, with the largest team consisting of five people, there was no need to ship in reinforcements- but they would have known that the world's largest shipping container company is Maersk! We Killed Santa (a very knowledgeable regular team with a Christmas themed name change) scored an impressive 43 points to win the £50 bar tab whilst Two Guys, No Hope scored a respectable 26 to bag a bottle of house white!
