Greenwich Village takes over Limehouse and Walks Away with a Win

It was another fantastic evening at The Grapes, as the doors closed and locked the cold outside, the temperature inside, rose, in preparation of a fantastic evening of quizzing.

In second to last place this evening, was a team of two called ‘Who Needs Anyone Else?’ Indeed, they raised an interesting question and nevertheless enjoyed a lovely bottle of Malbec to share for their hard work.

A close round for all teams tonight, who were heading straight for first place. However, it was only one team that triumphed this evening… On a whopping 39.5 points! Greenwich Village was their name- and despite being in Limehouse at The Grapes - they were able to secure their winnings and walk as pub quiz champions of the eve!

Tonight is jackpot was worth £530. Needless to say, tensions build as we entered into a jackpot round. All teens listened, they focused, they worked hard and quickly as I asked final question… However only one team was closest! That was the Cornish Clot! A team of one that had worked hard all evening! He came up to choose from one of 10 envelopes, as he opened the envelope we discovered.... that inside was not the winning piece of paper. Which means only one thing!
