The Lush Puppies Take First Place

Another great evening at The Grapes in Limehouse. Despite the ominous clouds looming above the area threatening to pour down, teams rolled in for another great evening of quizzing.

The weather held off but the teams did not! They quizzed with tenacity, they quizzed with integrity and they quizzed armed with knowledge.

Walking away this evening with a lovely bottle of Malbec to share over their placement was ‘Casper didn’t bottle it!’ A wonderful prize for coming second to last place, which was a triumphant effort in such a close quiz!

However, it was The Lush Puppies, who triumphed this evening on a staggering 38 points! Each took a share of the £50 bar tab for The Grapes which they will enjoy together.

Tonight’s jackpot round was worth £550. Needless to say the tension was high as we entered into the round, however only one team was able to make a choice from the 10 envelopes. As the crowd drum rolled and tensions built a member of ‘We’re Doing our Best’ took their pick. Despite doing their best however, they chose an envelope with a blank piece of paper inside!

Which means one thing! Next week our jackpot will reach £570!!
