"Onwards and Upwards" prevail following a tiebreaker

Suffice to say another convivial evening was had at The Jolly Farmer illustrated by the gracious behaviour of "Pooh Bear and his Friends" - what more would you expect - whereby a tiebreaker was needed with "Upwards and Onwards" to determine the destiny of the £40 bar voucher first prize. Needless to say, Pooh and his mates were not rewarded on this occasion, but I feel sure they will be going forward. The outcome this week of the £20 bar voucher (for coming second last) may next week require the intervention of the Monopolies & Mergers Commission as the "Chalfont Ladies" or should I say lady on this occasion, merged with the "Village Idiots!" and very skilfully prevailed!

In winning the opportunity to draw from the Jackpot envelopes, "Pork Scratchings" selected envelope number 3 so the rolling weekly cash prize increases to £56 and rolls over to next week's Quiz Night on Tuesday 22nd January: 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start as usual.
