Naming your team "No Hope" could be regarded as being a touch negative or is it perhaps reverse psychology? Who knows, but they certainly did more than enough to secure this evening's £40 bar and food voucher first prize by a clear 6 points and not for the first time. The competition for the £20 bar voucher prize for coming second last was, however, a little closer with the deft play and strategy of "Chalfont Ladies" once again prevailing over "Alpha" and "The Neighbours" (previous quiz winners) and newcomers "The Four Jokers" from neighbouring The Three Oaks Pub.

"Team at the Bar" won the opportunity to draw for the weekly rolling Jackpot cash prize of £33.50 but regretfully selected envelope number 4, a dud. So the Jackpot increases to £45 and rolls over to next week's Quiz Night at The Jolly Farmer on Tuesday 9th October; 7 pm for a 7.30 pm start.
