But alas, it didn't as "Upshuts Creek" scored a very impressive 19 points in the notoriously more difficult second half of the quiz to pip "Thorzina" by four points to take the evenings £40 bar voucher first prize. Similarly, the "Chalfont Ladies" scored well in the second half of the quiz doubling their first-half score and although they scored more points in the second half than "Paws for Thought", it was not quite enough to ease then into second to last position. "Paws for Thought" therefore achieved their strategic objective and accordingly won the £20 bar voucher second prize.

Having been won recently, the consensus this evening was to let the Jackpot cash prize lay fallow so it can again build up and it, therefore, increases to £33.50 and rolls over to next weeks Quiz Night at The Jolly Farmer: Tuesday 2nd October; 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start.
