Blushes All Round, Especially In Team "Thorbuckzina"

In overflowing to the outside terrace this evening at The Jolly Farmer and therefore needing to relay both questions and answers, we must first and foremost send our apologies to all teams especially "Paws for thought" and "Stoolless" for the overrun this evening. We trust it did not spoil your enjoyment. In a similar vein, with love blossoming within a team whose name was suitably amended to "Thorbuckzina", we likewise trust the causing of several blushes will not impact on the development of this relationship!

Competition for all the prizes was rife this evening with 13 teams participating. First-timers "Confusion: avoided" and "Quizimodo" along with "Stoolless", "Dysfunctionals" and Thorbuckzina" all posted very creditable scores in the 30's. It was "Chipstead" however who prevailed by a clear 2 points and accordingly won the £40 bar and food voucher first prize. If "Paws for thought" had not left before the end of the quiz, "Desperados" would have won the £20 bar and food voucher for the second least points. They, however, ended up last (there is no easy way of putting it) with the prevailing circumstances handing this prize to "Just the two of us".

Albeit only by a whisker, "Scroungers" won the opportunity to draw from the nine remaining Jackpot cash prize envelopes. Suffice to say that in drawing envelope number 5 the Jackpot Cash prize increases to £81.50 and rolls over to next weeks Quiz Night at The Joly Farmer when we do it all again: Tuesday 14th August; 7.00pm for a 7.30 pm start.
