"Aussies Abroad" at least knew what to do with a tersorium!

That's more than can be said for the other teams this evening who said a Roman would have cleaned their sword or body armour as opposed to …………… their bum. All that can be said is that it requires a special mind to know trivia like that and for record purposes, "Aussies Abroad" came last. The opposite can said of "Living the Dream" as they converted a two point deficit after the first half of the quiz into a win by three clear points from "We're cheaper by the half Dozen" and were accordingly this evening's winners of the £40 bar voucher first prize. Whereas last week "Aussies Abroad" fortuitously benefited from a team having to depart prematurely, unbeknown to them they were this week playing with the 'past masters" of the £20 bar voucher second prize for coming second last; needless to say "Chalfont Ladies" were in the house and of prevailed.

With a 3 in 1 chance of the £145 Jackpot cash prize going this evening, "London End" won the opportunity to select from the remaining jackpot envelopes. Having selected envelope number 10 they were unceremoniously informed "better luck next time', so the jackpot cash prize increases to £161 and rolls over to next Tuesday's (1st October) Quiz Night at the Jolly Farmer. "London End" subsequently wanted to check if the Jackpot was in either envelope 2 or 3 and confirmed it was, but is it still in the same envelope? Time will tell.
