Albeit named "Lost in Translation", they knew what they had to do!

Nick H

Well it was a pretty competitive affair this evening at both ends of the scale with only 6 points separating the top five teams and a tiebreaker needed to decide who came second to last. With a university student at home for the Easter break, "Lost in Translation" prevailed and took the £40 bar and food voucher first prize fighting off "Neighbours", whose performance was their best to date. A quick note to the school mistress member of "Neighbours": Adjutant is spelt as such and not Aggitant, but a two gold stars for neatness!

At the other end of the scale, a tiebreaker was necessary to separate "Desperados" and "Our Husbands think we are at slimming". It was further complicated by the fact that the later felt they ought to get home so as to not arouse the suspicion of their respective husbands. They therefore handed Power of Attorney to "Sleepy Heads" for the tiebreaker and the winnings if they won, which they did! Needless to say "Sleepy Heads used their Power of Attorney very wisely ........ by having another round of drinks on the £20 bar and food voucher prize.

In winning the opportunity to draw from the six remaining Jackpot cash prize envelopes for the £71 cash prize and selecting envelope number 4, their team name of "Oh Dear!" proved very apt!! So, the Jackpot cash prizes increases to £94 and rolls over to next week's Quiz Night on Tuesday 17th April; 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
