Nobody wants to be playing Catch Up!

With the January sales in full swing at the shops, everyone knew it was no different at the Hollybush in Loughton, taking part in the best value night out of the week! The Quiz kicked off with the mantra ‘All Prizes Must Go!’ ringing in everyone’s ears- what an absolute bargain! Whilst running the risk of starting the decade on a cheesy note, our’ teams ‘ummed’ and ‘ahhed’ over the Spanish name of that particular yellow milk solid- it being, of course, Queso! If you’ve been visiting friends and family in the new year, you might have brought them flowers but knowing that Brandon Flowers was the lead singer of The Killers, would’ve brought you a free drink! Finally, with a whole new year of quizzing ‘looming’ ahead of us, embracing everyone like a big warm hug, our teams guessed that the ‘Loom’ was the machine used to weave yarn! Catch Up, who joined at the last knockings did just that, winning the £50 bar tab with a respectable 29 points and Stella scored 25.5 points to grab the bottle of wine! No Name may have come last but they did manage to guess the closest to question to win the jackpot of £103.00! What a way to start the year...
