Bonkers night for Quizzie Rascal!

Pinch, punch, second of the month and our first Quiz in February at the Hollybush, Loughton! You don't have to be a local to join in the best night out in town but some of the questions this week may have been 'right up your street'... So, Willy Wonka turns emo and develops a pie fetish was our badly explained film plot and our movie buffs had no hesitation in declaring that it was 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'! If you were offended by dear Sweeney's crimes, you may have wanted to put him on trial at the Royal Courts of Justice but where would that be? The geographical knowledge of our teams was top notch, many knowing it was in 'The Strand'. Finally, after all that darkness, you might want a bit of retail therapy but which street shares its name with a an English city that has the suburb of Jericho? It is of course 'Oxford'. In a tightly fought contest, Quizzie Rascal scored a table topping 40.5 points and Quiztopher Bigwins tallied, quite possibly, the highest ever score to win a bottle of wine with 30 points! With £156.00 up for grabs and just three cards to be played- it's almost worth coming next week to play the Jackpot alone...
