Revenge of the Scudd Whip Up A Storm!

London was in lockdown this evening with Storm Ciara causing disruption all over the capital! Our hardy band of Quizzers still came out in force, however, with no fewer than nine teams taking part- bringing a tear to this Quizmasters' eye! With football matches being postponed up and down the country, it was safe to say that this quiz more than made up for it with some quality soccer content! When asked on which continent the 2026 FIFA World Cup would be played on, our teams smashed it right into the top corner, knowing that it was North America where games would take place in Mexico, the US and Canada. Our Cryptic Question was the apple of some team's eyes, one famous footballer having the cryptic clue of 'The Biblical Garden is a Risk'. It was (of course) former Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard! Finally, When asked which city had the smallest population out of Leeds, Belfast or Coventry the most keen minded teams knew which one was BEST. Belfast having the smallest population with 280,000 and also being the birthplace of former Man U Legend George Best. Revenge of the Scudd pipped the other teams to the post by just one point, scoring 37 points and were lucky enough to take home the Jackpot of £156.00! Chaz & Dave scored 20 to bag a bottle of red. Let's hope next week is a not so windy affair...
