Another knock-out for "Quiz Eubank" and "Against all Odds"!

In another action-packed evening at the Highwayman, we had three new teams this evening including the aptly named "First-Timers", "The Bellies" and of course the delightful ladies of "Virgin Quizzers" whose team name raised the question of when a virgin had last been seen in the Highwayman? - I couldn't possible comment although I'm sure Mark would have done had he been in attendance. That said we did determine that "Virgin Quizzers" prefer bottom up as opposed to top down ....... in relation to announcing scores that is. It was noted that Rose also threatened to take Garry in hand to which his response was, it's been a while! Anyway to the quiz.

Rose's threat obviously had the desired impact on the rest of "Against all Odds" team members as they buckled down to the task in hand scoring 34 points which was good enough to win this week's £40 bar voucher first prize from "What's Happening!", their first appearance since moving to the West Country. As for the £20 bar voucher second price for coming second last, it was "Quiz Eubank" who for the second week running landed the knockout punch.

All teams played for the £150 Jackpot cash prize, for which "Pondhoppers" duly won the opportunity to select from the remaining eight envelopes. Envelope 5 was boldly selected only to reveal 'Jackpot!, nope'. So we do it all again next Wednesday 29th January , same time, same place.
