Albeit exciting, the outcome of the quiz was secondary!

Why? Because we all wanted to know the outcome of the "2nd Date" from last week and were duly rewarded by their presence again this week, but this time in the form of "2nd date went well, so we're back", which says it all - the intel in last weeks blog must have been useful! The Highwayman Quiz Nights must be gaining a reputation for dating as we had another couple on their "3rd Date" who named themselves accordingly. By way of precedent in providing useful intel, when asked about her preference for bottom-up or top-down, which of course related to announcing the team scores, the lady member of "3rd Date" misinterpreted the question revealing she'd be quite happy with either and was not opposed to a bit of both! - we're all now in eager anticipation and will hopefully we'll get an update next week.

Enough of our dating exploits and to the quiz. That said, it's difficult to avoid the subject of relationships as "Against all Odds" overcame all-comers again this evening to take the £40 bar voucher first prize - Rose and Gary certainly arrived together, but it's unclear if they left together! On a more serious note, many thanks to them and their team for their very kind seasonal gesture - it was very much appreciated. As for the £20 bar voucher prize for coming second last, albeit a very close thing, "Chin Up Jamie" prevailed by half a point and we trust the prize had the desired effect in relation to the team name. The Jackpot was both exciting and illuminating. The teams were required to pass an opinion of the sexual exploits of Tracey Emin in terms of partners as expressed by her piece of art 'Everyone I have slept with 1963-1995'. Well, what can I say - probably best to say nothing - by the range what I trust were imaginative answers. Suffice to say the delightful ladies of "Tube Problems" were the closest and in selecting envelope number 9, WON THE £150 CASH PRIZE!

We do it all again next week when the Jackpot cash prize will again be £150. Same time, same place on Wednesday 11th December. To secure your table for the last quiz of the year call 01442 285480.
