Steward’s Enquiry Saves Slartibartfast From Fiasco

It was a close-run thing at the top of the quiz table tonight at The Hare and Billet with two rival sets regulars only a point apart. Initially it looked like The Tabasco Fiasco had edged their way to victory, but after a “steward’s enquiry” and a recount, it was Slartibartfast who managed to retain their title. They took the £50 bar tab first prize with a grand total of 35 points, one ahead of the mighty Tabascans on 34. The wonderfully named Baldilocks & The Three Hairs were the only other team to score in the thirties, taking 3rd place on 30 points exactly. In second last place, and winning the bottle of wine tonight, were the not-as-imaginatively-named Who’s Farted?, who scored 18 points.
