Tonight was the final quiz at The Hare and Billet this year, this decade even, and what a fantastic way to end this chapter. Yes. They did it. Having spent most of 2019 some way out of contention, The Chris Palmer Trio finished the year by sealing a brilliant hat-trick of wins and a £50 bar tab by scoring a magnificent 39 points. It was really tight at the top, though, with fellow regulars Slartibartfast only just missing out in second place on 38 points, and Charlie’s Angels were 3rd on 35.
The honour of coming second last this evening went to The Granvilles, but only after a quick fire decider, as they were tied at the bottom with Boris’ Bitches. Being quicker on the draw, though, The Granvilles took home a much deserved voucher for a bottle of wine.
