Trivia Trio’s Thumping Triumph Tempts Hat-Trick

It was a low-scoring evening at the Wednesday night quiz Hare and Billet, so low-scoring that only the winning team managed to score in the 30s. Fresh from their victory last week, long-time regulars The Chris Palmer Trio proved that win was no fluke (and will surely be in contention for the hat trick next week), taking tonight’s title by a thumping margin. Their winning total, which bagged them another £50 bar tab first prize, was an impressive 35 points, a full six points ahead of second-placed Tabasco Fiasco on 29 points, and three teams (We’re Scrooged, Glenties and Blackheath Babes) shares third place on 28. The prize for second-last tonight went to Just The Two Of Us, who managed to win themselves a voucher for a bottle of wine by scraping together 21 precious points.
