How did no-one see Sir Richard Branson?!

Charles C

2019's first quiz at The Duchy Arms was also my 100th ever! Big thank you to everyone who came out to support me. Much appreciated. Lovely to have you there. Questions on the Flintstones' child, Linford Christie and Pluto (the planet, not the dog. Or the god of the underworld) saw teams exercising the little grey cells after some gentle rest through the Christmas break. "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" earned the consolation box of Smarties and the honour of my points-per-person award, showing good knowledge of Mr Burns and Poker. "Different Hemisphere, Different Rules" won the bottle of wine, with good insight of Cluedo and Roman numerals. However, out in front, were "Corner Chaos" (my name for them as they put all their energy into winning rather than coming up with a team name), who got the bar tab having demonstrated exceptional tube station expertise. The early photo of Sir Richard Branson wrong-footed everyone. That's part of what makes quizzes fun! Great stuff. #2019isgoingtobeouryear #my101stquizwillbeevenbetter
