I'll have to be careful with what I write for this week's quiz as the second placers -- who have previously won -- didn't like my blog entry the last time they featured. Well, they will hate it, even more, this week as I highlight their inability to perform well under pressure and hold their nerve to win for a second time, despite a storming second-half performance.

Still, they went home with a bottle of gin from local distillers Hayman's. So not a bad effort for the 'young pretenders'.

Tonight's winners apparently wrote the banging speech given by Oscar winner Olivia Coleman. And didn't they deserve it. I should insert a pun associated with said speech but I didn't watch it, so I'll have to leave it at that.

In other news, the jackpot was won yet again but don't worry, it's still a solid £94 for next week's pot. Team Drakefield got the closest to guessing how much land was sold by France in the Louisiana Purchase -- they were still way off but so was everyone. They picked out a queen from eight cards and from a good three meters, so I'm not sure how their X-ray vision blasted through my defenses. Still, well played to the Dev first-timers, a £160 is theirs.

Honorable mentions go to the teams that stayed all the way to end. Other teams also wanting to ditch early should note they're staying power for everyone is in with a chance of winning the mega jackpot, and if not that, then definitely sweets, plenty of sweets.

So don't waste any time, book yourselves a table and get involved in the action.
