Battle of the duos... In all departments

The Dev was rammed solid for another fun and exciting quiz with three teams of two battling it out for the main talking points.

Record breaking team of two, this week naming themselves, Gary Tightbody, broke another record this week by talking a massive 43 point haul, beating their nearest competitor by nearly ten points. They ask for no clues. They have no phones, so I think they work for the government and are being fed the answers through an earpiece. They looked suitably embarrassed to claim the prize and subsequently pose for the blog photo. But they thankfully obliged.

First time couple team, We Plan To Win set out their stall early by blagging both bonus prizes and also finishing strongly to come second, beating off a team of six into third by half a point. That's a bottle of wine, thank you very much.

Then, regular players (Toucan Play That Game, their name this week) knew their McDonald's from their Ronald's and got closest to guessing when the first fast food restaurant of the same name opened their doors (1940, if you didn't know, and they guessed 1942 -- what knowledge!) Sadly they picked a 3 instead of a Queen on a packed out board. The jackpot rolls over to next week.

Honourable mentions go out to birthday team Quiz Hemsworth, whose birthday girl blagged a bonus point and some sweets and all the other teams who all scored so well in a tough tough week.

As previously mentioned, the jackpot rises to £160 for next week, with eight cards to choose from. That means you have a good chance of winning -- well, a chance, at least. But my mum told me you gotta buy a ticket if you wanna be in with a chance to win it.
