From boybands to the Beach Boys, a regular team from Capital Radio (who missed last week — how dare they?), smashed their way through a strong second half to hit the top of the charts.

It was their first win after so many attempts and the excitement was palpable as they celebrated their win with aplomb — the pub literally shook, like David Seaman had scored the winning goal for England in the World Cup Final. The bar tab didn't last long, prosecco and jaeger hit the spot rather nicely.

In other news, Mark may have been delayed by his everlasting poo but they won themselves a bottle of wine for coming second, a bonus snack and a massive £242 jackpot for finding the Queen on a packed out board of cards — well played, them. They don't even live in Balham and had no former knowledge of the quiz taking place — no wonder one third of them was late.

Well played also to all the other teams who braved the shocking weather to attend Balham's greatest Tuesday night quiz. And it's now official... at least three teams have said so.
