Not exactly record breakers but they were good enough for gold

Marc F

Awooga!! The team that named themselves after legendary 400m hurdler, Kris Akabusi, skipped over the line by just a point to bag this week's top prize.

They fought off some tough challengers this week from a couple of regular teams who have won in the past. But alas, rather like Kris himself, they fell short of the mark.

'Quiz Akabusi' will be back to defend their win and drink their winnings next week. Or maybe the week after next. It's not important.

What is important is that they didn't smash the Devonshire record-breaking score (see what I did there?) so I'm sure you lot who either missed out this week or didn't bother to attend can come next week and snatch victory from the young pretenders.

The jackpot also rolls over to a fairly substantial £182 next as well, so there's plenty to play for.

There are sweets as well. Plus free drinks, snacks and a bottle of wine. So you'd better book yourself a table for next week so you can be in with a chance of those mega prizes. See you then, at 8 pm!
