Quality of Team Names on the Rise at Beer Hawk

‘Everything I do (I do it for Quizzing Bantz)’ as the great Bryan Adams once said. And what a lot of bantz we had tonight at Beer Hawk! Coming up the rear in 6th place was solo player Gareth of HUAWEI 5-0. Gareth’s participation in the quiz was quite extraordinary: he took over from a team who had to leave early and carried on through to the end SOLO - like a quiz relay race. Absolutely unprecedented and absolutely fantastic. Well done Gareth on winning the spicy crackers. Filth. Next up, and winning the second-to-last-place booze, we have friends of the quiz, Dave and Kendra of SPITBALLIN 4 GERMAN CATS. This week they were joined by friend, Harley, and they FINALLY won some delicious booze! Yay! All of the Shitzus and German Cats have finally paid off! Dave and Kendra, you never fail to shock and appal me and I love you in a very genuine way. Then, finishing mid-table, we have new team WUHAN WONDERERS (see what I’m mean about the quality of the quiz names). Shannon, Scott, David and Laura - you’re a fab team and I like your questions about children’s stories, so please come back again soon. Then in bronze place position, we have regular team, THE BEER HAWES. Trev, Andy, Tom and co - you may not be experts on the band Smash Mouth, but you’re a bloody good team and I got real faith you’re gonna pip the win soon. Then, in silver, we have new team . . . KOBE BRYANT’S FLOPPY CHOPPER. Excellent name, excellent team. Thanks so much for coming to join us from your regular quiz and giving TEAM INEBRIATED a run for their money. But this time, your force wasn’t quite enough for our reigning champions and TEAM INEBRIATED smashed it once again, winning the coveted £50 bar tab (soon to be renamed ‘The Team Inebriated £50 Bar Tab for Services to Quizzing’). Kristian, Dave, Kate and newbie James - your vast breadth of knowledge, from The Gambia to Taylor Swift documentaries, never ceases to amaze me. Congratulations! (And thanks for always being so lovely and filling my heart with joy).
