Oh I wish it could be Quizmas Everyday . . .

MERRY QUIZMAS YA FILTHY ANIMALS! Yes, this evening was our special Christmas Quiz at Beer Hawk and what a quiz it was! Bells were jingling, swans were swimming and the teams were absolutely sleighing the questions. Echo and the rest of TEQUILA MOCKINGBIRD displayed some impressive knowledge about Frosty the Snowman and Jingle Bells, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to nab the coveted second-to-last place bottle of wine from their fellow colleagues on team FELEEEEE NAVIDAD. Well done Lee, Francis and the rest of your crew. I hope you have a wonderful Chrismukkah! Next up we have the wonderful Anya and Sarah on team FRANK, who, as our smallest team of the night, demonstrated some fabulous quizzing - particularly in the music round (and big shout out to Sarah's Christmas jumper). Then in 5th place we have our regular winners TEAM INEBRIATED who finally found their Achilles heel: Christmas Pop Culture (luckily it doesn't tend to crop up much during the rest of the year - so I don't think our wonderful reigning champions have too much to worry about). In forth place we have the fabulous QUIZ QUINGLE, who narrowly beaten by the highest scorers of all the Moneybox crew, STEP INTO QUIZMAS. Well done STEP INTO QUIZMAS for being the top dogs of the office. In second place we have the gorgeous Christmas elves, Christie, Jeremy and their lovely mates who made up THE MORGANS AND FRIENDS (well done for knowing who wrote Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - fingers crossed that will be an actual question one day...). And finally, the winners of the night were the absolutely Christmas-tastic NYE. Well done on your extremely well deserved £50 bar tab you gorgeous, gorgeous lot. Thanks for bringing so much joy to the quiz and for teaching me how to dance - I can't wait to see you in the new year. The real Christmas stars of the evening were, of course, the bar staff. Tom, Talia and Gina ended the night on 39 points, meaning they came in joint first place with our winners NYE whilst ALSO serving us all booze and toasties - nothing short of a Christmas miracle!
