'NYE' Storm Towards 2020 in STYLE!

As Band Aid once sang, "It's Christmas time, there's no need to be afraid. At Christmas time we let in light and we DO THE WEEKLY PUB QUIZ AT BEER HAWK".

And what a quiz it was! A busy night with lots of familiar faces and some sparkly new teams. The delightful duo +/- FRANK were absolutely fabulous as ever (I love you ladies), however, unfortunately for Anya and Sarah, it was DOG WITH 2 DICKS that secured that much lusted after 'second-to-last-place bottle of wine'. Well done Daniel for getting those questions nice and clarified - you did your team proud. Next up we had a tie for forth place with three of the teams ending the night on an impressive 36 points. First up in this gorgeous threesome were the super talented, TEAM 4/5 (sorry you didn't manage to go home with any booze or crackers tonight, Adam. I hope I haven't ruined Christmas). Next in joint forth place were all the 'Ts' who made the glorious SOAPY TIT WANKERS. Big shout out to Trev on his impressive knowledge of the history of the 50p piece. And then to complete our forth place three-way was wonderful new team JEREMY CORBYN WITH AN ELECTION. Danni, Jordan 1 and Jordan 2 - you were fabulous! Now we arrive at podium positions. In third we have the teriffic Rob and Pete fo ACCIDENTAL WORK DO. A last minute addition to the quiz, these talented lads took to the quiz like a duck to water and scored a super impressive 42 with just the two of them (and they gave my personal favourite spicy cracker answer of the night - I do love a trimmed bollock). In second place was Neil, Mor and Benedict . . . who was VERY LATE, on team BENEDICT IS VERY LATE. Excellent quizzing and top bantz - I'm only sorry you had to put up with Benedict's tardiness. And finally, in first place, storming to victory was new team NYE. OH MY GOODNESS! What a display! You thoroughly deserve that £50 bar tab, and I can't wait to see you again. Tate, your knowledge on Jennifer Lopez is just . . . outstanding. Well done. The true goddesses of the evening, as always, were Gina and Talia on the bar, this week joined by Christopher who . . . has very neat handwriting.
