'Spitballin 4 Inebriation' are a Supertrouper Super-team!

As the great ABBA once sang "The Winner of the Pub Quiz takes the £50 bar tab".
And those lyrics have never been more pertinent than tonight at Beer Hawk, Farringdon.

Coming up the rear we have THE ALPHA TEAM, who just missed out on the coveted second-to-last-place booze to their friends and table companions, FAT KIDS ALWAYS WIN AT SEE-SAW. Yahooo! Well done on winning £20 worth of delicious Beer Hawk beer. What a lovely hump day treat!

Next up, we have the most gorgeous English Literature graduates I have EVER met and all-round-fun-time-things: Jake, John, Emily, Reese and Elyse of M-M-M-MY CORONA. Thanks so enchanting and fabulous.

Then, just missing out on the 40 point mark with an impressive 39.5 was THANK U, NEXT. Lads, I'm gutted that parliament didn't dissolve in 1930 for you. (One of my favourite bullsh*t answers of all time though. So, mad respect from me).

Then, after topping the leaderboard at halftime, but falling into fifth after a difficult second half, we have PARSNIP MASH. Rebecca, Matt, Rob and Anna, you were absolutely brilliant - and well done for a perfect score in the music round. Hard luck in the second round. I reckon after a few more quizzes, you'll be golden.

In forth, we have marvellous movie buffs MAINLY GUESSING. Super impressive movie knowledge! If ONLY Mowana had a tattoo, eh?

In third we have IRISH WRISTWATCH - a team of two who scored an incredible 42 points! WOAH! Well done Ollie and William for the best individual point average of the night.

In second, we have lovely Amy and the rest of THE BROWN CAVES who displayed some very impressive and consistent quizzing. Can't wait to see you again soon.

And in first place, with a staggering 45 points we have super-team, SPITBALLIN 4 INEBRIATION. Woohoo! The top scorers at yesterday's Beer Hawk South Bank quiz (Kristian from 'Team Inebriated' and Dave & Kendra from 'Spitballin') ingeniously joined forces to create a furiously ferocious Franken-team: SPITBALLIN 4 INEBRIATION. And if that's not enough, they happened to meet Sergay, a lovely chap who was enjoying his first day in London and happened to know a lot about Ancient Greek discus throwers. What a journey!
