'I am Smarticus' Sink the Competition!

I've always said that pub quizzing is the most fun you can have with your clothes on, and tonight that point was absolutely proven at Beer Hawk. Coming up the rear, we had the marvellous MOIST FEBRUARY. Well done Phoebe for having excellent photography skills and winning some tasty snacks for your team. Then, winning the highly coveted second-to-last bottle of wine, we have the wonderfully suited and booted WILLIAM and his team. WOOP WOOP! Lovely to meet you all and lay across your table in an elegant fashion. Big up East Anglia (Sam, I hope the cola was ok for your sugar levels in the end - fingers crossed). Then, in forth place, we have previous winners WHERE'S LORNA. Who displayed some excellent catchphrase skills and lived the dream of spending their £50 bar tab on delicious toasties and wine like absolute ballers. In third place we have the always delightful Dave and Kendra, who this week were joined by the fabulous Radikah. And like any threesome, SPITBALLIN FOR KD'S DEAD MUM, made me feel both excitement and titillation, with an undercurrent of shame (and thanks for caring about my asthma, Radikah). Then, both with a WOOPING 47 points, it was a tie for first place. Woah. It was tense. But after a titanic of an tiebreaker, ITS ROWAN'S BIRTHDAY just missed out. Ah lads! I'm gutted for you. But you played a wonderful game. Your knowledge of early 2000's pop bands and Roman history is absolutely second to none. Happy Birthday Rowan, enjoy your shirts, books and engraved cock rings, and I hope you all have a wonderful time in Greece (and Jay, you best join them mate - no FOMO).

BUT in first place, with one of the best displays I have EVER seen in all my quizzing career, we have Mark and Sophie of I AM SMARTICUS. 47 points between two people is an astronomically amazing result, and you wholeheartedly deserve that £50 bar tab. WOW! Well done Mark and Sophie! Incredible stuff.
