Eh?? triumphed in a very high-scoring quiz at the Wigmore on Monday evening, boosting their score to 42.5 with the bonus points from both free drinks questions to sneak in ahead of second-placed newbies John Trivialta.
The honours (and bottle of fizz) for second-to-bottom went to California Crew.
John Trivialta took the victory in the creative round. Teams were challenged to come up with a new look for 2020 using tinfoil and paper. Amid strong opposition, their explosion of bling (including signet rings, earrings and a grille) caught the eye of the judging staff and won them the points. They also took a bonus point for funniest wrong answer of the evening, naming the picture clue's giant salamander as 'Dominic Cummings'.
