There was a real mix of regulars and newbies this evening at The Star Of The East with people jostling for space at tables, rubbing elbows, and wanting to be this weeks winner! If that wasn't 'positive' enough, most of the teams knew that in mathematics (not life encounters!) if you multiply two negatives together then they will always make a positive. There was no fooling our contestants who confidently proclaimed that a baseball pitch delivered with spin so that it dives downwards is called a curveball and it's always a pleasure to hear 'Life's Good' from everybody who stated that it was the tagline for the multinational electronics company LG. An amazing six teams scored 30 points and over but it was Quiz Khalifa with 35 (just one more than both Quiztopher's Bi***es & No.42 who scored 34 and two in front of Culture Vultures who got 33) who went home with the £50 bar tab! Newcomers Wight Knights won the wine with a very respectable 24 but, sadly, nobody won the Jackpot! What isn't sad, however, is that next week's Jackpot is £273.00, so do book your table in advance...
