A warm and pleasant evening in East London brought people out in their droves, word on the street being that the best evening was to be had at The Star Of The East Question One Quiz! There's no sign of this pub going to the dogs, or to Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium for that matter, our dye in the wool Londoners knowing that it was the dog track that closed on 16th August 2008! If that question was a little rich for people's blood, most teams guessed that 'ox' was the prefix to our corpuscular question, making up a deep, dark 'oxblood' red! Sticking with the animal theme, our wine winners (scoring 25 apiece) had to fight it out in a play off, 'Quiz On Your Face' correctly answering that the assertation that the Hyena has the strongest bite is in fact FALSE! That belongs to the crocodile. Coming first, however, with a very respectable 39 points was 'We've Defected From The Grapes', former two time victors having to do without 2/3rds of their original team! Now that's impressive. With the Jackpot at £67 next week, you'd be mad not to book a table...
