6 Nations 1 Cup Try Hard!

Andrew P

Plenty of teams had plenty of fun at the Star of the East this evening, marking the beginning of February and saying goodbye to dry January! In spite of the drinks flowing, our teams weren't 'flagging'... but our questions, interestingly, were! A tough question, that caused those who guessed incorrectly to be green with envy, was 'which county's flag was all green between 1977 and 2011'. The answer was, of course, Libya, which changed after the overthrowing of Colonel Gadaffi. Adopted in February 1965, the flag that consisted of red, blue and green separated by white bands in our picture question was the Gambian flag! A couple of teams managed to get this tricky question, proving that it's Afri-CAN and not Afri-CAN'T! Finally, flying the flag for New Zealand, the question was 'What name is given to the New Zealand International Rugby Team', the answer being 'The All Blacks'! 6 Nations 1 Cup did terrifically well, scoring 39 points, just one more than second and third, to win the £50 bar tab and Fellie scored a pretty decent 26 points to take home a bottle of the house red. The Jackpot wasn't won this week, which means it rolls over and comes to £68.00 for next Tuesday...
