The Myths of Toyland

Tonight was surely the hottest quiz of the year. I do not mean this figuratively. Teams battled one another as well as the blazing heat to sweat it out over a quiz leaning toward the playful and the mythological. Playful owing to questions about toys (Hasbro, Beanie Babies, and cuddly Paddington Bears) and mythological in two varieties: Norse (What's Thor's hammer called?) and Greek (What god of music is married to Eurydice?). In the end, it was close, but the team celebrating Burkina Faso's capital (or simply hoping to hear me fumble its pronunciation) took the win—by a mere 3 points. Already looking forward to hotting it up next week. 'Til then...
