Regulars Battle It Out for First Place

It pays to be a regular at The Station Hotel - not least so the bar staff gets to know you and might give you a hint about a question. But you'll also start to get a knack for this pub quiz malarkey, and you'll see your scores improve week on week. Case in point was tonight's quiz, where the three veteran teams soared ahead of the rest of the pack and all finished the quiz within one point of each other! All three did very well (and all three have been winners before) but it was team "Barflies" this week who nudged past "Roy's Rovers" and "Lodestar" and claimed victory. They even showed their prowess at the jackpot question and earned the chance to play for that hefty cash jackpot, though chance let them down on this occasion. Let's not forget about the newcomers, though! We had plenty of fresh faces tonight, and tonight's second-to-last place bottle of wine went to "Surewan 3", who have recently moved to the area. Fingers crossed that they come back for more and become another contender for the top spot!
