A busy quiz at The Spice of Life last night.
Fifteen teams playing for a share of the £148 prize pot which in the end was divided three ways. All fine until four teams finished in second place scoring 36 points each, whilst the winning team "Impeaches and Cream" just edged into first position with a score of 37 points.
A tie-break resulted in two teams levelling out with a "nearest to the correct answer guess" of 2 minutes and three seconds. This was in answer to a question about an athletics event. Two teams with the same answer after one tie-break! Having had a later than planned start due o a seating problem, quizmaster Richard Linton decided that enough was enough and split the second and third prizes with the result being that both teams went home £44 richer! Not a bad night's work when you're having fun as well.
Nest week there is no quiz as it's the annual Soho Jazz Festival.
