A Test Drive!

Lots of people like the idea of a 'test drive' before committing themselves to parting with money. At The Spice of Life last night people gathered for the final quiz of 2018 but because the bar downstairs had opened early, there were several people who had just popped in for a drink but not a quiz. Quizmaster Richard Linton started at the usual time of 7pm and quite a few of the drinkers suddenly became interested in taking part once they had heard a few questions. One group of work mates couldn't stay due to prior engagements but played along for about half an hour and kindly added to the pot in the true Christmas spirit. However, at least two teams were made up from people whose original idea had been to have a drink rather than take part in the quiz. At the end of the evening one of the 'extra' teams won a bottle of wine and two other groups promised to return and take part in the quiz in 2019.
