The Night When They Had A Quiz In The Pub

As the headline suggests this really was the night when they had a quiz in the pub. Two factors were key in that. Namely
(1) - the first factor ...the people who turn up to it, let's call them players.... And....
(2) - the thing that they're doing or quiz.

When those two factors combine you're faced with a situation like the one we had in the Ram in Kingston this bank holiday Sunday.

It was the nicest day of the year and I'm not just saying that because it was me doing it but that does factor into it, but weather-wise as a result of astrological changes in the climate and that it was dead, dead nice.

But that didn't stop twenty-five players playing like they were playing a forty question quiz.

When the sun comes out, outcomes 'John and Tonic'. It's just the right time of year for a 'John and Tonic' if you're an alcoholic or even if you're not an alcoholic.

Gin and Tonic is a drink that you would associate with sunshine if you were an alcoholic and even if you weren't and Gin and Tonic is the actual inspiration for tonight's winners 'John and Tonic'.

Gavin came within a hairs bread of winning the Play Your Cards Right round. Only four cards away.

And yet again 'John and Tonic' really pulled it out of the bag in the second half. Fantastic to see. That really is how it is done.
