Full house at the Railway for the inaugural quiz of the year! Standing room only, with two teams at the bar, so remember to book in future to avoid disappointment!
Old faces and new blood filled the room this week with a birthday girl and a mum-to-be adding to the usual raucous revellers. Regulars "Dirty Smartini", "Rats ate my pants!" and "#Sugartits", joined An Awkward 3some, "Trivia Newton John" and And in 1st place to vie for the top spot, while "Manstink", "Theresa May not" and "Pinkey & Ginge" were all vying for the wine.
Overall winners in the end, after a tie-break for 1st place, went to "#Sugartits" after beating "Rats ate my pants!" to guess the year margarine was invented (both were hopelessly far away, but "#Sugartits" somewhat less so).
The rollover jackpot this week was for £55.00 and the lucky pickers were "Sophie is 23, so buy her a drink!", but luck wasn't on their side and with odds of 10 -1, the jackpot survived for next week to reach £75!
