Where's Mark? take the title at inaugural quiz at The Moretown Belle

Where's Mark? have set themselves as the team to beat at The Moretown Belles Monday Night Quiz.
Tonight we tested teams general knowledge, their American geography, their know-how of post-impressionist French artists and of course, their ability to identify a member of the Muppet family.
There is a great sense of welcome and community in this sports mad boozer, the inaugural quiz got off to flying start thanks to the staff and management (some of whom are clearly quiz nuts), and of course a mix of locals and newcomers all up for a bit of banter.

Round one eased the teams in with an audio question where they had to name songs from Duran Duran, Dizzie Rascal, The Kinks and Pearl Jam. There was a catchphrase picture question that showed us The Beginning of the End, but in truth things were only just heating up. Heading into round 2, the two lead teams were separated by a single point. And, it was once again the cryptic clues, good old question 25 that stopped most teams in their tracks and saw the most chewing of pen tops!

In the end, there was a tie-breaker. Better When the Kids Went were drawn level on 37 points with Where's Mark? Their closest to question was around a the world record weight lifting record and it was Where's Mark? who clinched the title, winning themselves a £50 bar tab!
