Tonight's quiz was chock full of references to Europe (Poland, Sweden, Spain and Bulgaria all got a look in) and South Africa (by way of Nelson Mandela and Afrikaans). Elsewhere, 2 Hags, Less ****—playing for the first time with more than one female quizzer (2)—won the quiz and the £50 bar tab. But perhaps the main story of the night are the furiously, amazingly, improbably consistent Neighbours Looking For Friends, who one the second-to-last bottle of wine for the FIFTH time, thereby going FIVE FOR FIVE—all despite winning the first round. Impressive. In other big news, a tweak to our jackpot rules meant I was able to give away some cash after a 6 week drought! Dude Where's My Team walked away with £91 (or 25% of the full £364 jackpot). But don't worry, we'll still be more than £300 up for grabs next week.
