Their was a certain officiousness to the evening's quiz, with questions on textbook conversions from inches to yards, the UK Highway Code, ex-Prime Ministers and a maximum period of time permitted between British elections. Thrilling stuff—he typed with undisguised sarcasm. But if so, you ask, why the exclamation marks in the title of this post? Stay tuned, we'll get to that. First, the winners. Congrats to 6 Queers who, after placing second in round one, bounced back with in round two to pip Table Four Etc. and took the £50 bar tab. Secondary congrats to Neighbours, who took home a bottle of "rosso". And now: The exclamation marks. Why, you ask? Because, because, because, after many weeks, somebody won THE JACKPOT!!! £300 went to our lucky runners-up, Table Four Etc., who were closest to the length of Earth's longest bridge and then successfully navigated through 8 cards to the prize.
