A tiny turnout of just two teams tonight in what was surely the cosiest quiz in London. A team hailing predominantly form Ireland went up against a team hailing predominantly from Australia. The latter pipped ahead for the win—by a single point—helped along by a couple of consummately Aussie questions about Tasmanian Tigers and surfing. However, it was the Irish Tates who won a chance at the jackpot, getting as far as the sixth card (of eight) to narrowly miss the jackpot. It remains an impressive £300, ready to be won next week.
