An unusually small turnout tonight, with just a pair of teams going head to head, which meant—on the upside—with two big prizes (a £50 bar tab and a bottle of wine) everyone was a guaranteed a winner. A new configuration of last week's winners, The Tall Men, trailed after round one but caught up well in the second. It wasn't quite enough, however, to catch those Wapping Dads (including one rather accommodating Mum), who took the big prize. A slight Oct-o-Bent to the quiz had them answering questions about the month of October, how to say eight in Latin ("octo"), and the Japanese delicacy of takoyaki (battered octopus). Meanwhile, the jackpot went unclaimed once again, so next Monday it'll be up to £134. Come out try your luck.
