A nice turnout from the towering office blocks of Moretown tonight at our local Belle, where four teams duked it out over culinary questions: about which European county eats the most seafood and the names of dear, departed Anthony Bourdain's food and travel programmes. Then came the question about Johnny Depp altering his former flame Wynona Ryder to read "wino" and finally a nice tribute to women in sport (to follow the Women's World Cup) with film music questions about A League of Their Own and Bend it Like Beckham. In the end, the Gluten Free Nachos took it with rather commanding win, while the Quizzly Bears savoured a bottle of rosé for coming second-to-last. Quiz Khalifa had a very unlucky draw for the jackpot, which rises again next week. Come and win it people. It's all yours—if you play your cards right.
