It all happens at the Jolly Farmer Tuesday Quiz Night in Chalfont St. Peter. On the one hand we had "Congratulations Hannah & James" on their engagement and on the other we were condoning bigamy with "Me and my two Husbands", not to mention the "Dysfunctionals". And that was before we even started the quiz - the quizmasters job is vast and diverse!

As to the quiz, there was some great scoring but regretfully not by any of the above mentioned teams - to much love in the air. "Bucks Bingo" returned a fantastic 42 points to take the £40 bar voucher first prize beating first-timers ""Fab 4" who attained what would normally have been a winning score of 38 points. "Desperados", "Fourplay" and "Neighbours" contended for the £20 bar voucher second prize for coming second last with the latter prevailing (and representing the standard of the local primary education). "Fourplay" didn't however miss out as they cleaned up with the spot prizes this evening.

All teams played for the £47 Jackpot cash prize. First-timers "The Parkway Posse" won through to select from the nine remaining Jackpot envelopes and confidently selected envelope number 9. The slow opening of the folded card inside the envelope revealed a the word 'congratulations'. Further exposure however revealed it be of a bowl of nuts on this occasion however - they were nice nuts though!

The Jackpot therefore increases to £67 and rolls over to next weeks Quiz Night on Tuesday 20th August when we do it all again!!
