Theologians to the fore!?!?

Although it has to be said there was some competitively good scoring this evening at The Jolly Farmer, having been given the question "which book of the Bible recounts the departure of the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt" along with the clue "Bob Marley", a couple of teams answered with conviction the "Book of Jamming"!!! I'm not sure there's much more I can say.

In a steadily increasing atmosphere of bonhomie and music - Brahms and Liszt type - as the evening progressed, "Vegas Baby" powered through the field in the second half of the quiz with a fabulous 22 points to take the £40 bar and food voucher first prize. Albeit very close to it "The losing Team" weren't and in managed to secure the £20 bar and food voucher second prize for achieving the second least points and very promptly and very benevolently passed it on to "Emma's Birthday" for Emma to donate to a charity of her choice ............ and from where I was standing the voucher appeared to get redeemed pretty smartly!

Then we had the weekly rolling Jackpot cash prize. The team appropriately named "Too Drunk to Remember" secured the opportunity to draw from the seven remaining envelopes and in deciding to go for envelope number 7, scooped the £46.50 cash Jackpot, at which point we appeared to on the verge of mayhem, but needless to say just about survived!

Don't forget this is a regular weekly Tuesday night quiz and we, therefore, do it all again next week: Tuesday 19th June; 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. Hopefully, we'll see the likes of "Quiz in my pants" and "Neighbours AGAIN.
