"The Bees" didn't do much buzzing but were rewarded with honey

Yes, "The Bees" buzzed quietly yet busily and were rewarded with the honey in the form of the £40 bar and food voucher first prize narrowly fending off last week's winners (Liberal Parents) in the form of "The Bloomsbury Group" by a single point.

Being the only teams with scores in the thirties, the £20 bar, and food voucher second prize for the second least points was fiercely fought over. To their surprise, the "Smelly Cats" prevailed. The all Aussie team "Trivia Newton-John " were a little disappointed (to say the least) as they thought the two teams who came last on the same points would tiebreak for the prize, but were reminded ball-tampering is not allowed! Their disappointment was the quelled to a point when they won the opportunity to draw from the Jackpot cash prize envelopes but plummeted again when they picked envelope number 6. Given a chance to draw again they selected envelope number 7 and erupted on seeing the words "congratulations you are a winner", only to read on and find it was for winning a packet of crisps. The emotional ups and downs of quizzing eh!!.

Anyway, it was all good fun and we do all again next week when the Jackpot cash prize rolls-over and increases to £46.50: Tuesday 12th June; 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
