The question has to be was it a Freudian slip? Maybe or maybe not! Anyway it caused great hilarity...….and a very red face!
As to the quiz,, both the prizes for coming first and second last were keenly fought over with each prize being won respectively by a single point only. Team "Jamie's 50th" scored a very credible 38 points on their first time at the quiz, but lost out by that single point to "Where's Nigel" who accordingly took the £40 bar voucher. Mention should be made of "Desperados" who (somehow) managed 34 points and came third and also new team "Lady Godiva" who because of their team name, many of the males present were looking forward to watching the female member depart from the car park on her horse!! Despite their repeated protestations about being useless, I for one am seriously beginning think their protestations is just a smoke screen for astute skill as "Just the two of us" once again picked up the £20 bar voucher prize!
With the Jackpot cash prize now at £115 and only four envelopes left, much concentration went into the closest to question. We though the evening could be another big milestone for "Jamie's 50th" and sure enough the card selected from envelope number 6 did offer congratulations on being a winner, but regretfully of a bag of crisps only on this occasion. So the Jackpot increase to £131 and rolls over to next weeks quiz: Tuesday 11th June; 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
